Wow - it's been quite a while and I think it's the perfect time to stop to write about what's going on in the classroom. We have finished a unit on reading nonfiction. At the same time, we wrote nonfiction articles on a westward expansion topic of our choice using Google Docs or Google Slides. We included all that we know about nonfiction text features. Our articles came out great and we're excited to celebrate our published reports. In math, we're exploring decimals: how to add, subtract, multiply and next to divide decimals. In social studies, we are wrapping up our westward expansion unit. We're historians learning about Lewis and Clark, The Gold Rush, The Transcontinental Railroad, The Pony Express, and The Oregon Trail (to name a few). The students have used Quizlet (an online resource) to help us study our science vocabulary on Landforms. Enjoy the winter vacation and Happy New Year!
